From the day she was born, Jillian had a
profound sense of humor ... and she was
smart, too. She was talking at 6 months, and
having conversations at 2 years old.
presented in the order in which they were received ....
(please excuse the condition of some of the photos ... they went through a few hurricanes.)
I think she was just a tiny thing, when she
learned that she loved to make people laugh.
That aspect of her personality has not
changed.
Jillian was a Mama's girl. I spent
almost as much time at her
elementary school as she did. I
suspect I was as attached to her as
she was to me.
Then the inevitable happened and
she grew up and found other people
to spend her time with.
Even though she's grown,
she's still my buddy ... and
she still makes me laugh.
I got exactly 4 years with my boy
before his dad took over to "raise
him as a man." But I do have my
memories ...
... such as the fact that he was
the sweetest baby in the world.
Not a complainer, happy, very
easy to take care of.
He was the most curious child,
always into something trying to
find out how and why it worked.
And despite being a handful, he
charmed people everywhere he
went and even as a kid had some
pretty influential friends.
Even though he's grown, I still see his
sweet side and he can still charm me.
What can I say about my
Jenny ... look at that face.
Even as a 2-year-old she
had a look in her eye that
she was going to do
something with her life.
She always impressed me.
Everything she tried to do
she did well.
I'll never forget this nightie, her Uncle Jim
gave it to her for Christmas the year she
was born, but it was a size 3 so I had to
hang onto it until she was old enough to
fit into it. It came tucked into a Christmas
stocking that she still uses every
Christmas.
Exhibiting a bit of her drive and
determination she wheedled this Teddy
Ruxpin for her 4th Christmas. Had to have
it. Couldn't live without it. Then one day
she got curious and stuck her finger in his
mouth while it was moving and got bit.
She never played with it again.
Jenny was and is, a doll. To
hear her laugh is a gift, she
laughs all over.
And she never sneezes once ... a curious
thing. Always two or three times minimum.
It's one of the unique things I love about
her, aside from her individuality and
independence.
Even though she's grown,
she still has the same drive
and determination ... and she
still impresses me.
Welcome Dallas ... to my daughter's heart
Welcome Jordan ... to our family
Welcome Jim ... to my daughter's crazy life
